Ashleigh is 500 hour E-RYT YogaWorks Certified Teacher Trainer and YACEP with additional training in Urban Zen Integrative Therapy, Reiki levels 1&2, and 25 hours of Therapeutic Yoga under Dani Ibarra.
Yoga came into Ashleigh’s life after sustaining a minor injury from dance in 2006. While she had to refrain from dancing for several weeks, yoga not only offered a low impact form of physical therapy to stay in shape, but also an opportunity for her to find a mental and emotional balance. She came back to her dance career with more strength, flexibility, peace, and patience that has helped her to lead a much healthier life. Dance had always been in the limelight and her outlet of true inner expression, but as she continued to practice yoga, she began to peal away an even deeper layer of herself that could not only support her dance career, but also her life. Ashleigh has kept her yoga practice since, and through intuition, felt that becoming a teacher would give her the opportunity to share the benefits and even transforming effects that yoga can have on an individual.
She completed her first 200 hours of teacher training through YogaWorks in Valencia, 2012, with Dani Ibarra and Jackie Field. She then proceeded to continue her education in the 300 program through YogaWorks with Dani Ibarra as her mentor from 2013-2014. Through the inspiration of Dani and her wealth of knowledge in restorative and therapeutic knowledge, Ashleigh immersed herself into the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy training program with Casey Coda in May of 2015. She furthermore completed 25 hours of the Therapeutic Experience with Dani Ibarra. Her love of teaching others has since guided her to pursue a career as a Lead Teacher Trainer with YogaWorks. She co-lead a 200 hour teacher training program with Nona Chiang in January 2019 as well as with Dani Ibarra in January 2020!
