Dani Ibarra

Dani turned towards therapeutic yoga after a car accident resulted in over a decade of low back and sciatic pain. After practicing yoga for many years, she experienced first hand how yoga made her feel and how it helped to heal her injuries.  Wanting to help others, she decided to take the YogaWorks Training in 2003 with Chuck Miller and Maty Ezrty and began teaching in the Santa Clarita Valley.  In 2007 she opened Just Breathe Yoga Center in Newhall, CA, gave birth to her son, Lucas, in 2008, then closed her studio in 2009 to join forces with YogaWorks, Valencia and became teacher director.  Prior to COVID, Dani was teaching full time in the Valencia location, leading workshops, teacher trainings, retreats and festivals all over the world.  Dani is also the creator of Yoga Remedy, a 25 hour therapeutic teacher training, which helps teachers learn more about yoga therapy, safe sequencing, injury management and anatomy.

Dani is a certified yoga therapist and has big love for therapeutics and restorative yoga.  Her classes are specifically designed to help people with chronic pain live better in their body.  Her teaching style is slow and mindful and her classes focus on healing.  She encourages her students to connect back to their body, allowing time for stillness so they can feel what’s actually going on.  She then creates a practice around space; space to breathe, space to feel, space to heal and space to live and love.  Dani strongly believes that less is more, and our willingness to heal depends on our willingness to slow down and listen within. She has always had a passion for teaching and loves to play a small part in her student’s journey towards healing, self-discovery and life changing transformations.

Additional certifications include:  C-IAYT, ERYT-500, FRC Mobility Specialist, Senior YogaWorks Trainer and Mentor, Yoga Tune Up, Urban Zen, Advance Reiki and Reconnective Energy Healer, Yoga Consultant for PADO, BA in Dance and CA Teaching Credential (Elementary Ed).

I have been a yoga practitioner since 1996 and plan on practicing for the rest of my life! Looking forward to getting the opportunity to practice with you.  Namaste’
