Jenny Aurthur

Jenny Aurthur began practicing yoga in 1993 in Los Angeles, where she found it to be an escape from the daily turmoil of working in toxic environments in Hollywood. She began teaching in 1998 in LA, and moved to Manhattan in 2004, where she helped establish and build the Yogaworks studios and teacher training program from the ground up in the greater New York area. Up until Yogaworks closed in April of 2020, due to Covid, Jenny was one of the most senior teacher trainers. She has taught thousands of students and conducted trainings all over world. While yoga studios remain closed in NYC, Jenny teaches classes and private sessions online. Carrie Owerko has been her primary teacher since 2005.
