Kristie Covaleski
Yoga means to unite or to yoke mind, body, and spirit together. Kristie hopes that all who practice yoga can eventually find that embodied connection and become more aligned with who they truly are. Through the physical postures and body movement together with conscious breathing and a deep inner awareness, Kristie wants students to discover that yoga is much more than just touching their toes. Finding balance between the “action” physical poses and the “reflection” pausing to observe and take notice is the format for her classes while cultivating intentions of peace and kindness. Kristie encourages students to bring an open mind, an open heart, and lots of curiosity because the practice is a continuous exploration and a journey much like life itself.
Kristie completed her 200hr Yoga Alliance certification in 2014. She has continued to deepen her knowledge through extended yoga, anatomy, and meditation trainings and workshops with reputable teachers such as Judith Hanson Lasater, Max Strom, Tracee Stanley, and Claire Hartley. Kristie has been a yoga practitioner for over 25 years and has trusted yoga as a grounding anchor in navigating through the ups and downs of life.
